MaineSource Changes Name to Maines Food & Party Warehouse
Maines has recently changed the name of its retail division from MaineSource to Maines Food & Party Warehouse, and also introduced a new tagline: “Your Local Chef’s Market.”
Maines felt that the division’s name, previously known as MaineSource, did not accurately reflect the breadth and depth of the brand’s offerings – especially when introduced to prospective customers. With planned store expansions into Rochester, New York, in 2015, it was the right time to introduce a refreshed name. The updated name coupled with the new tagline, now provides a clearer description of the store’s products for customers.
“We are proud of the reputation we have forged by offering our customers the best quality, value, and service,” said Christopher Mellon, President and CEO of Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc. “We know that when people shop in our stores, they appreciate the difference. However, we discovered that many were not aware, solely from the name, exactly what the store concept was.”
“Maines is built on the philosophy that high quality does not always need to come with a high price – nor does great value need to come at the expense of exceptional service,” said Mellon. Though open to the public, many may not realize that the quality of food is directly correlated to Maines’ commitment to sourcing meat and produce on a local level.
Just like the Broadline Division of Maines, the Maines Food & Party Warehouse Stores receive the majority of their meat and produce from local farms. Maines has the first pick of the food from these locations, which guarantees that the items that the company sells, even in the stores, are superior. Local farmers are regularly invited to store locations to speak directly with customers about their products. Customers can appreciate that Maines offers every product one would need to throw a party or plan a special event – all under one roof.
Even though the name has changed, Maines’ commitment to providing high-quality products and superior customer service through its retail division remains strong. The stores will continue to offer the same benefifits to the current Maines Broadline Customers, such as:
• Open 7 days a week to help restaurants through until their next delivery
• Call ahead ordering to have products ready for pickup
• Ability to charge purchases to a Maines Account
• Special ordering products for no additional cost
