Just Launched! Maines.net

July 1, 2009 - We are proud to announce the launch of our new Web site, maines.net, designed to provide the most up-to-date information about  products and services as well as foodservice trends. As one of the leading independent foodservice distributors in the country, Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc. has always focused on using technology to benefit our customers, and to position our services in a class of our own among food distributors.

“In an industry that’s constantly changing and increasingly competitive, we feel compelled to empower our customers with unmatched resources in an effort to help ensure their success. This new Web site is just one way we are leveraging technology to the direct benefit of our customers,” said Maines President and CEO Chris Mellon.

Maines will use this Web site as an interactive communication tool to convey important information about our growing business as well as this rapidly changing industry. There will be platforms in place to encourage feedback from our users. The site features a graphically engaging style that provides information customized for both the broadline street sales customer as well as the chain distribution customer.

The information is presented in an engaging manner with photography that showcases the world-class products that we bring to our customers each day. Maines.net will serve as one more way to convey the world-class brand that Maines has built over the past 90 years.

The site has an interactive database-driven newsroom where users can learn about Maines’ newest customers, employees and areas of distinction.  In addition, the Web site has a fully dynamic web form application and submission to database. It interfaces seamlessly with the employee zone and the proprietary eMaines customer ordering system.

Maines will continue adding new features and functionality to the Web site, as well as maximize usability by tapping into the strengths of social networking and online media in the coming months.

“The Maines leadership team wants to hear your feedback about the new Web site. This is a living, interactive communication tool that will continue to grow and change as the needs of our customers, and this industry, change. It is our hope that customers, employees and vendors will rely on this site as it continues to provide new and relevant information,” said Mellon.
